I’m glad, and/or horrified that you want to stalk me like this.

I’m Hampus, known online as hmptr, and previously, as well as on certain platforms, as wa5te. I’m a nerd by heart, and by every other metric I can think of. Born in ‘98, older than Google. Currently studying for an engineering degree in computer science, for the sole purpose of wanting to have the title “Civilingenjör”. I’m somewhere just over a third of the way to the degree, but as it seems, the remaining time $t$ is increasing, $t \to \infty$.

The primary reason for the growth of $t$ has come from realising way too late into my life that I actually am autistic, and trying to work my way through finding which of the many coping mechanisms I have developed on my own volition are beneficial, and which ones are contributing to my recurring burnouts. While academia is not typically structured in the way that would benefit my brain and the way it is wired, I never abandoned the curious part of me in the back of my head that just loves knowing how the computers do what they do, how the LCD on the microwave knows what to display… so I will probably never abandon my dream of getting my engineering degree, no matter if I will get it when I am 60.

In my free time I like watching long video essays about just about anything, watching anime, playing games, cooking, tinkering with electronics, working on CAD-models and or 3d-printing them with varying degrees of success, tinkering with my homelab server, drawing, and recently, sitting by my aquarium for hours just staring at my shrimp. My list of interests is long and ever-changing, so writing much more than this on here is a waste of both of our time.
